White and nerdy
Ripped Weird Al's video off of fdmts :

1st in my class here at MIT
(No, but I did graduate from Caltech, which I deem sufficient for a yes.)
MC Escher that's my favorite MC
Keep your 40, I'll just have an Earl Grey tea
(Plenty fond of good beer and wine, but nothing that comes in a 40 oz bottle.)
My rims never spin to the contrary
Stephen Hawking's in my library
(He used to be; haven't seen him in a long time.)
My MySpace page is all totally pimped out
(Well, it ain't bad.)
Yo, I know Pi to a thousand places
(25 off the top of my head. I'll give myself credit for that.)
I order all of my sandwiches with mayonnaise
(M turned me onto mayonnaise on sandwiches, e.g. grilled cheese. Yum.)
At Pascal, well, I'm number one
(I was back in HS, and no one's used it since, so I say this counts.)
I do vector calculus just for fun
(Heh. :) )
I can sure kick your butt in a game of ping pong
(Bring it on.)
I been browsin' inspectin' X-men comics
(I read a lot of X-Men in the 90s, though I never collected.)
Shopping online for deals on some writable media
(Who doesn't?)
Yo I got myself a fanny pack
(And proud of it. I defy you to find a more functional small storage solution while dayhiking, etc.)
They were havin a sale down at The Gap
(I shop regularly at the Gap. Straight fit jeans and M Tall fitted shirts, and don't think it's nerdy at all.)
I was in AV club and Glee club and even the chess team!
(Chess and Glee Club, but not AV. Does being president of the Computer Club make up for it?)

Jock skills, I'm a champion of D&D
(I played a lot in HS, but was never a champion.)
All of my action figures are cherry
(No action figures. What does "cherry" mean?)
Ain't got no grills but I still wear braces
(Did for a year and a half in HS.)
I'm a whiz at minesweeper I can play for days
I ain't got a gat but I gotta soldering gun
(I'm no EE, and I do not own a soldering gun.)
There's no killer app I haven't run
(I'm a pretty lousy coder now, actually.)
Happy Days is my favorite theme song
I'll ace any trivia quiz you bring on
(I'm not bad, but not an ace.)
I'm fluent in Java Script as well as Klingon
(I'm a Fortran man, myself. And can't say I haven't thought about learning Klingon, but no.)
The pens in my pocket I must protect 'em
(I almost always have a pen in my pocket, but no protector.)
My ergonomic keyboard never leaves me bored
(Just standard keyboards, thank you.)
I edit Wikipedia
(haven't yet)
I memorized the Holy Grail really well
(Never seen a Python movie all the way through... although the ROTFLOL line is my favorite)
I got a business doing websites
When my friends need some code who do they call?
(Like I said, I'm a lousy coder.)
Even make a homepage for my dog!
(No pets.)
Spend my nights with a roll of bubble wrap
I'm nerdy in the extreme and whiter than sour cream
(I'm pretty tan and like it that way.)
Only question I ever thought was hard
Was do I like Kirk or do I like Picard?
(Picard all the way.)
I spend every weekend at the Renaissance Faire
(Never once.)
Got my name on my underwear!
(What is up with that?)

15/37 = 0.405405...

"Impressive"? That I wear fanny packs and was in the Chess Club? Wow, that's... generous of you. :)

My friend, Mindy, in college dated Weird Al for a bit. She went backstage at one of his concerts and ended up kissing him. He flew her out to L.A. for a couple weeks and then came back to Nebraska with her. We ran into them at the mall in Lincoln and she was like, "Hey Sarah, this is Al, Al, this is my friend Sarah." We shook hands and that was that. They ended up breaking up after about a month. He really is weird.

That is so bizarre. M had no idea you'd rubbed shoulders with the stars like that. And in Lincoln, no less... I'm curious what Mindy's two weeks in LA following Weird Al around were like.

Wow - that is hliarious! Unfortunately, I'm just not smart enough to be that nerdy, but many of my closest friends are! Pretty much describes the "gang" I ran with in college (I lived near the engineering building - I guess that makes me an engineering groupie, which is pretty much as nerdy as - if not nerdier than - the engineers themselves). Also, I live and work in possibly the nerdiest city on the East Coast.

I laughed so hard I almost hit the ground... in my cubicle no less.

I'm pretty nerdy, that all sounded way too familiar.

As Mark referenced my "action figures" in his list, I feel qualified to say that "cherry" as a descriptor of collectibles generally refers to them being in mint or near-mint condition, though it can also refer to them having been restored to that condition as in the case of classic cars.
